In December 2021 my Daniela and I had the opportunity to go to Tanzania – a 7-day safari that took us through four of the country’s most stunning national parks. With Suddy from Siafu Tanzania Tours as our guide, we were in for a treat, exploring the diverse landscapes and witnessing the majestic wildlife that call these parks home. So, grab your binoculars and join us on this unforgettable safari adventure!
Arusha
Tarangire National Park
Our safari commenced with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, an oasis of natural wonders. As we journeyed into the park’s vast savannahs and seasonal swamps, we were welcomed by the iconic baobab trees that seemed to guard the secrets of the wilderness. Tarangire’s charm lies not only in its landscape but also in the diverse wildlife that roams freely. From graceful giraffes to mighty buffaloes, the park introduced us to the wonders of Tanzania’s wildlife.
Lake Manyara National Park
The enchanting journey continued to Lake Manyara National Park, just a stone’s throw away from Arusha. As we explored this haven of nature, we were captivated by the picturesque scenes along the lake’s shores. The dense forests offered a sanctuary for playful monkeys and curious baboons, adding a touch of charm to our encounters with the wildlife.
Serengeti National Park
Next on our safari adventure was the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, a living legend of African wilderness. As we ventured into its endless plains, it felt like stepping into a storybook. The Great Migration unfolded before our eyes, with vast herds of wildebeests and zebras migrating in their timeless ritual.
Ngorongoro Crater
The grand finale of our safari brought us to the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural masterpiece with breathtaking views. Descending into the caldera felt like entering a hidden paradise. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem created an intimate setting for wildlife encounters. From regal lions to majestic elephants and graceful antelope, every corner was alive with the wonders of Africa.
Our safari adventure through Tanzania’s four national parks was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, leaving us with cherished memories and a profound appreciation for the natural world. Arusha, with its vibrant energy, served as the perfect gateway to this extraordinary journey. As we bid farewell to this enchanting land, we carry with us the magic of Tanzania’s wilderness, forever grateful for the unforgettable moments we shared.
